We actively encourage all of our children to wear school uniform. We feel that it is practical and economical and prevents competition in fashion wear. We feel that our uniform gives the children a real sense of belonging. Parents are very supportive of our uniform policy and ensure that their children wear appropriate clothing for school.
The uniform consists of :
Navy blue sweatshirt/cardigan
Gold polo shirt
Black or grey trousers
In Summer girls are allowed to wear blue and white/yellow and white striped dresses.
For health and safety reasons we expect children to wear PE kit for sports activities. This consists of a gold T shirt and navy shorts.
We request that pupils wear sensible shoes for school with low heels for safety reasons. The wearing of jewellery, apart from watches, is discouraged, including earrings and studs. If you wish your child to have his/her ears pierced we suggest that it is done at the beginning of the Summer holidays. If your child wears studs at school then he/she is not allowed to take part in any physical activities such as PE.
School uniform and reading folders/PE bags can be ordered from Mrs Barrass in the school reception.
